When you first visit the Holy Land, you sense something different about it the moment you arrive. It's a feeling unlike anything you've ever felt before. It's almost like returning home. You see places you've heard about ever since you were a child -- Bethlehem, Bethany, Jericho, Galilee and the fabled city of Gold, Jerusalem. They're all here in the Holy Land of Israel.

These photographs represent thirty years and eight extended trips to the Holy Land. During that time I have wandered over the hills of Jerusalem, caught the brilliant sunrise over the Galilee, and shed tears on a hot August day hiking up an ancient footpath on the Mount of Olives. It has been a humbling experience.
